Welcome to Albemarle!

On behalf of our children, staff and Governing Board, I am delighted to welcome you to Albemarle. We are a vibrant two-form entry primary school with a nursery and thriving before and after-school provision, based in the heart of Southfields in the London Borough of Wandsworth.

I feel privileged to have recently been appointed as Headteacher of Albemarle. It is a joy to be joining such a dedicated and welcoming school community, and I am excited to work together to shape the future. Alongside our Governing Board, who play a vital role in setting the vision and holding the school to the highest standards, I am committed to ensuring that children remain at the heart of every decision we make so that their outcomes and well-being continue to flourish.

Our role is to provide a safe and happy environment where children can thrive during their time with us, becoming young people we can all be proud of who achieve the highest standards and are ready to take on the world. We recognise that every child is unique, and we celebrate their strengths and positive differences. We are a family of learners and encourage our children, from the moment they join us, to champion and support one another.

The Governing Board works in close partnership with staff, parents and carers to ensure that Albemarle remains a caring and inclusive school where families from all cultures, faiths and backgrounds are welcomed and celebrated. Our dedicated staff, wonderful children and supportive families make Albemarle a truly special place to learn and grow. We pride ourselves on working in partnership with families to achieve the very best for every child.

We provide a rich, varied and exciting curriculum that inspires curiosity, fosters creativity and challenges pupils to achieve their best. By the time they leave Albemarle in Year 6, we want every child to carry with them a love of learning, pride in who they are, and the skills and knowledge to succeed in the future.
